FAQ

Questions people actually ask.

Does it work without internet? +

Most modules need an internet connection to pull live data like weather, radar, and calendars. The display itself runs locally on your network, but it does need WiFi to stay current. If your internet goes down the display will show the last cached data until it reconnects.

Will it work with my existing TV or monitor? +

Yes, as long as it has an HDMI input — which almost every TV and monitor made in the last 15 years does. You can also use it with a computer monitor you already own.

Do I need any technical knowledge to use it? +

None at all. Kevin configures everything before it ships. You plug it in and it works. The only thing you might need to do is connect it to your WiFi on first boot, which takes about two minutes.

How long does it take to arrive? +

Lead time is typically one to two weeks from when Kevin confirms your order. Everything is built to order so there is no shelf inventory.

Is there a subscription fee? +

No. You pay once and the display runs forever with no ongoing fees. The optional management plan at $9–$15 per month is the only recurring cost, and it is completely optional.

Can I change what's on the display after I receive it? +

Absolutely. Every display comes with a simple admin panel you can access from your phone or laptop. You can toggle modules on and off, install new ones from Kevin's curated library with one click, and update everything automatically. No command line, no config files. If you want a bigger change, Kevin can help remotely.

What if I want something that is not on the module list? +

Kevin builds custom modules when something does not exist yet. Describe what you want and he will scope it and give you a flat price.

How does WiFi setup work when it arrives? +

Plug it in and the display shows a QR code. Scan it with your phone, pick your WiFi network, enter the password, and the display connects automatically. Takes about 30 seconds. Kevin built a custom WiFi setup tool specifically for this.

What comes in the box? +

Pi Only: Raspberry Pi 5 (8GB), 32GB microSD with all software pre-loaded, USB-C power supply, micro-HDMI cable, and a quick start card. Display bundles: everything above plus the monitor and a custom wood frame, ready to mount or set on a shelf.

What kind of support do I get after purchase? +

Every purchase includes onboarding help. Quick questions, small tweaks, and troubleshooting are free — just email Kevin. For ongoing remote monitoring and automatic updates, there is an optional management plan starting at $9/month. Response time is typically 24 to 48 hours on weekdays.
